In today’s episode Mel Fox of Bitterroot Ranch joins Anna and Debra to talk about what it was like growing up in East Africa on a farm just below Mt. Kilimanjaro. I can assure you, it was just a wee bit different than the experience that Anna and I had growing up…I in midwestern United States and Anna in the UK!

Show Highlights:

  • Mel started riding at age 3
  • Mel’s “stirrup hanging” experience at age 8!
  • Riding in complete darkness, at night

  • Mel’s deep love and appreciation for elephants

In our next episode with Mel we’ll hear how Bitterroot Ranch came to be…all the wonders it has to offer…and how Mel chose Arabs as her breed of choice. (Episode 2 of 3)
