Wind in Our Hair…Riding as One

Debra and Wonder Horse

Yee-Haaaaa!!!!! Here’s me and my first horse. *smile* Wind in our hair, connected in spirit, riding as one. We did lots of ground work/play before this…spending lots of time slow dancing together, getting to know each other, building trust and mutual respect…all the things necessary for a deep and lasting partnership. When the time came to ride we were flying free; two souls aligned, dancing united.

May all your partnerships be deep. May you feel the desire to slow down, breathe and say YES to the moments that make your heart sing and your feet dance.

Happy Valentine’s Day!

We used to have one of these for my kids. My one son loved that horse, he rode the darn socks off that puppy, now he’s not interested in horses at all. Kinda sad.

So neat, the kids had one also and they loved it. I remember one of them (not sure which one). Got so excited riding they took their hands off the little bars and when they rocked back the child went flying off into the other room. :)

Yeah, a similar incident happened with me; I guess it was my first ‘riding fall’! I didn’t let go though…the plastic handle cover came off while I was galloping at top speed and I flew across the ‘field’ and hit my head on a ‘tree’. OUCH! My Daddy put the plastic cover back on and added a nail to make it stay tight so that would never happen again…and off I rode into the sunset.
